Date codes and serial numbers.

Do GoodYear tires ahve manufacture date codes and serial numbers? If they do, how do you read them and where are they located on the tire.
The Department of Transportation requires all tires sold in the US to have a DOT number on them. You will find the DOT number on one side of every tire typically in the lower sidewall near the bead. Tires made since mid-2000 have a 4 digit number at the end of the DOT number that will tell you the week and year the tire was made. For example, a tire with 3408 was made in the 34th week of 2008.
