Nitrogen vs air for inflating tires

Are there benefits to using Nitrogen versus air in tires?
The truck tire industry is asked this question often. I think the best answer is yes and no. Yes, there are some advantages to inflating with nitrogen but, the benefits do not seem to justify the cost. Let me put it this way, if I owned a fleet of trucks, I would use air to inflate my tires and I would have them checked and maintained on a weekly basis.
