Dear Tim,

We are contemplating purchasing a 2003 Rexair motor home 36′

The coach has 33,000 original miles, so those the tires. Motor home has been kept in a airconditioned barn - When not in use since it was 1 year old. The present owner believes that the tires are in perfect condition, since they have been kept out of the weather for the most part. I am concern for safety, separation, cracks if any. Can you suggest what I should do in this case.

If the motorhome has been kept in an air conditionsed barn when not in use, I would say the previous owner had done all he can do to keep the tires "fresh". If you are still conserned, I suggest you have the tires inspected by a tire dealer you know and respect. This would be a dealer you would not expect to tell you you need new tires just to make a sale.
