Trailer Dog Tracking with Wide Base Single Tires
Posted by sam on January 31, 2007

We have super singles 445/50R22.5 on our 53′ trailers and even when they are aligned correct they still dog track to the right side with the crown of the road. What causes this and how do you correct it?

I can only guess with the information you have given me. It is possible that wide base single tires are more affected by road crown than standard tires. If this is true, maybe the alignment of the trailer axles needs to be altered from the current setting to compensate for this.
