Question 95
Posted by John on June 23, 2005
I have a large delivery fleet ranging from mini vans to tractor trailers with the mojority being walk in step vans with 8R-19.5 tires. The actual load weights will vary for each vehicle. Is there a tire pressure formula I can use to get the best fuel mileage and tire life?
We have a load/inflation chart for every tire type and size. If you know the actual tire load, we can tell you the proper inflation pressure to maximize mileage and fuel economy. Please send us your mailing address and we will be happy to send you an engineering databook (acohn@goodyear.com)
