Question 59
Posted by Kevin on April 14, 2005

I have a Class C RV, GCWR 15,900 lbs, GVWR 12,200 lbs. Just bought 6 new Goodyear Wranlger HT’s, at the dealer’s recommendation. But I am not getting 15,900 when I add up the weight ratings on the tires. The dealer says this is ok and he has put these on bigger RV’s than mine with no problems. Is this model tire ok for my rig?

The load written on the tire sidewall is the maximum load that the tire can carry at rated pressure. In your case, being under the maximum load is just fine. But if you know the actual tire load when fully loaded, we can tell you the recommended PSI for that load.
