A. Hi Donna, I presume you’re looking for a bunk heater. It this is the case you can ball park it at around $!,500.00 Canadian. The bunk heater I’m referring to is Espar’s Airtronic D2 bunk heater and you can find out more about it here. http://www.espar.com/htm/applies/trucks.htm
We have a number of excellent dealers in the Edmonton, Alberta and you can find them here.

Q. DO YOU KNOW WHERE I SHOULD LOOK FOR USED UNITS FOR SALE? I HAVE TRIED SEARCHES BUT CANNOT FIND WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR.
A. Hi April,
I’m afraid I cannot help you with this, you may want to look at some of our bigger distributors, you can find them at http://www.espar.com/htm/Directory/directory.htm
Espar fuel operated heaters aren’t that expensive and typically we find that if someone buys a new truck they take the systems with them, they’re easy to remove and reinstall.

Anti-Idling Grant Money
Wednesday, September 6th, 2006 @ 6:01 pm
Q. We have developed a low cost Truck Stop Electrification system, or at least we are close to being done. My question is, Can manufacturers of TSE’s receive grant money to develop their product further and help with the intitial capital investment. We are located in New England
A. Simple answer “Yes”. It doesn’t come easy, you’ll have to apply for it and that can be a challenge and a ton of work, and that doesn’t even guarantee that you’ll get it. There is another TSE system out there I won’t mention their name, point is that they’ve managed to secure a considerable amount of federal and state money.

A. If it is truely called Opt-Ilde, I would call Detroit Diesel directly or visit their web site. They were the developers of that particular named version of Optimized Idling.
