Q. Can you tell me what the laws in Ca are regarding idling? Looking for clarification to print for drivers.
A. 5 minutes, minimum fine $100.00
Exemptions: Bus passengers are onboard or 10 minutes prior to boarding
Resting in sleeper berth beyond 100 feet of residential
Traffic conditions
Queing beyond 100 feet of residential
Adverse weather conditions or mechanical difficulties
Vehicle safety inspection
service or repair
Power takeoff involving cargo or work functions
Prevent safety or health emergency
Emergency vehicles
